I am interested in understanding how close interspecific interactions
such as parasitism or symbiosis are affecting genetic diversity, and
vice versa.
My current research project concerns a plant-ant obligatory symbiosis and specifically adresses the question of the mechanisms that promote the maitaining of this relationship despite the potential evolutionary conflicts. The tranmission mode of the association in particular is examined via reproductive biology and population structure of the species involved.
